BBQ May 11th, 2011

Today we picked up my parents new foster son. Due to state laws I can't tell you much about him--but he is a lot of fun to be around! He is 16 years old and has a fun teachable personality.

We had a combination BBQ dinner which consisted of french bread pizzas, BBQ corn on the cob, and cooked over the warm coals Orange desserts. The oranges were hollowed out like a pumpkin, and the orange fruit was mixed in a blender to a puree type texture. Cake mix was mixed up minus the liquid part of water. The orange mixture was added to the cake mixture and poured inside the orange peels. Then the top of the peel was put on top like a lid to a pumpkin. They were wrapped in aluminum foil and put on top of the hot coals in our half barrel to cook for 5-10 min. Wow was dinner delicious!
