Sunglasses!!

I'm walking on sunshine!! Woot Woot!! So I got a pair of sunglasses that fit over my eyeglasses today from Walgreens! I'm sure they look a little big on my face, and aren't styling or anything, but they get the job done! They block out ALL sources of the sun!!! I have a small head and face, so I even checked out the kiddy glasses. BUT I REFUSE to have little princess or Buzz Lightyear on the front and side of my sunglasses!
This one was taken without the flash, and the one below had flash on.
They are quite comfy and I'll get a great deal of use out of them this coming Spring/Summer...that is when Rexburg decides to quit snowing and looking like Christmas outside! The sun really bothers my head, so I'm quite pleased I have them.

Take 3 & Final Wheelchair Autoshop I pray!

The new tires arrived today and that meant taking apart the wheelchair AGAIN! I must say they looked all new and beautiful!

A huge difference! They definitely needed to be replaced! They were slightly bigger in height, but they had to work. I hunted all over the internet and couldn't find the exact replica sizing in tires.
This was all the nasty nasty fur and dirt crammed up and around the left caster tire. It was disgusting. I didn't find nearly that much in the  right tire. It was also ten times harder to take apart that tire, since I had never removed it before. I had only taken the right one apart multiple times for measurements ect. We'll they worked!!! I reassembled both tires and took her out for a joy ride through the parking lot! Success! Ready for a new semester!

New Meal!! Bell Pepper Cheesy Beefy Mac!

We were at Walmart the other night and I saw a box of Hamburger Helper on sale for 60 cents. I didn't really want to buy the box, so I examined it closely and decided to replicate it once we got home. Success!! Way tastier too!
So this is egg noodles and an extra mac n' cheese packet we found in our box. The machine must have made a big error. There were 2 cheese packets in with our macaroni noodles! Score! We added sliced frozen bell peppers. The hamburger meat was seasoned with taco seasoning. The bell peppers and meat were sizzled together with a little butter. Everything was cooked and combined together to create a little piece of heaven! Scrumptious!

EASTER IS STILL COMMING RIGHT???

so I looked to Facebook to get this from a friends photo list. It is entitled "So does this mean Easter will not be coming this year!?" I have to say with Easter coming on the 24th of April this year I have to wonder why so late?

Dismantling Wheelchair Take 2!

So I called a different company that I just randomly came across on my hunt for the right front caster tires of the electric wheelchair. The lady on the other end insisted that I take the tire off and measure the inside space of the tire. I'll show you a picture so it makes more sense. I must say--it took a lot of work to take it apart the first time and remember how to put it back together. I didn't have the strength to push one of the washers back in the spring loaded assembly, so none the less it is already short a washer--but it works! This was the last thing on the planet that I even remotely desired to do. I knew I'd need some manly muscular power to reassemble the caster by re-aligning the bolt hole and then hammering the bolt back through the center of the tire. All of which I didn't have this kind of strength. I also didn't want to take it apart in case I wanted to go somewhere during the day with it. So I procrastinated dismantling it until 1 hour prior to the online store closing. hehe Would you believe it? I'm not sure if it was my rage or my skill. I had the tire off of its caster and completely disassembled in a matter of 5 minutes!

So this is the amazing part I had to measure, but couldn't have done with it all assembled. I just pray these tires fit when they arrive. I shall guard them with my life--cause I don't want to fight having to find another set of tires. Believe me...I've hunted down every golf cart, scooter, quad, and wheelchair part store on the planets internet.
The even better part--I sucked up my pride and knocked on a neighbors door to help me push the bolt back in place. The sisters' husband wasn't home. But seconds after I opened my front door and proceeded to walk in, somebody was dropping him off at the curb from a ride home. Rather than pounce him, I figured Antonio would be home soon enough to fix the tire. Approximately 1 1/2 minutes later, there was a knock at my door and there stood the lovely couple ready to assist me. Within a matter of seconds--I must say he had buff paws...everything was put back together. He even lifted the chair top and helped set it down on the base and lock it into place. Then he suggested some other "choice" tools out of the selection we owned that would help prevent any future stripping of the screws.

Scholastic Book Sale!

We went to South Fork Elementary School this past Thursday on the 31st of March. The scholastic book fair had come and all the books were 50% off of their price tags. Antonio got an additional 10% off for working there. So we managed to find some awesome deals on children's books. Antonio found several books on the topic of history to help him in his future student teaching experience. I found some cute books to start up our own personal family library. Here are some pictures of our loot!

By the way the chapter book on the right of this picture was only $1.00! It is apparently the first book in a series of 5 books. With its 1 1/2 inches of pages--it seemed like a great deal of reading for a buck!

General Conference Pancakes!

I decided to make pancakes and bacon for breakfast (officially noon) between sessions of the Saturday conference. Of course the plain batter is kind of boring, so I decided to make red, yellow, blue, and purple pancakes. Had I not run out of batter I would have also had green pancakes!

Bacon that we cooked several slices of.
Tator Tot Casserole that I wrapped in aluminum foil and put in the deep freeze for a quick dinner on a busier night we may have.
The sun setting. I only wished I had gotten out about 5 minutes sooner. The sun sets soo quickly here. It is extremely beautiful. I don't think that the pictures do it justice. This evening was VERY windy and chilly, so I only stayed out long enough to get the pictures you see here. :)

It was very windy today. Earlier we had wind gusts of SW winds 45 mph. The wind has slowed down a lot but is still quite strong.
